Isolated Earth: Dystopian Story – Chapter 2

\Chapter 1

I awoke from my afternoon nap and peeked out the window in my room, it was dark outside. checking my phone which was just an android phone I mostly used for Facebook and music, the time read 7 pm I must have slept for 3 hours. Walking to the bench in my kitchen I got some leftover lasagna from 2 nights ago and put it in the microwave ready to heat it up. After it was ready I ate it in 10 minutes, my hunger was unbearable and I ate like a king that night, My day was fine except for being lonely and having anxiety about what’s been happening in the world, things were fine until I had to go ahead and turn on the TV.

A news lady stood by the USHO(United States Health Organisation) “If you’ve been tuning into channel 9 News scientists have made a vaccine that turned out to be a drug that makes people violently ill and have struggled to make a cure for the virus that has struck the earth. We have invited hundreds of people to be tested. Some have made positive recoveries but other people has had the same side effects they have developed. Many places have reopened such as private cinemas, cafes and restaurants but the government urges people to stay at home only if your unwell or have family members who are sick. The positive patients have been declared immune to this virus while others are dying. Now I turn over to Matt in Florida where there have been terrorist attacks.

“Thanks Angela, as you look behind me, at the burning buildings, Terrorists and other civilians have taken Florida as their own. If you are in the city we urge you to get out while you can, police forces have tried to take control but have been pushed out of the city by these dangerous people. If you come across any of these people, please contact the authorities or go home and lock your doors” Matt nodded as the screen flashed the Channel 9 logo and the screen went black as Colin turned it off.
