An eighteen year old Bendigo man has plead guilty in Bendigo Magstrates Court on Monday, charged with careless driving and drink driving.
In July the man, driving his grandmothers car, crashed while trying to do a burnout at a set of traffic lights. He lost control and hit a parked car before fleeing from witnesses on foot.
He appeared in Bendigo police station with his parents later that day, recording a blood alcohol reading of 0.036.
The case was adjourned for twelve months with no conviction while the driver, a p-plater, has had his licence disqualified for six months.
He must not re-offend in that time and must complete a driver safety program.
